ouch Football PNG (TFPNG) is committed to creating competitive opportunities that encourage and strengthen women’s participation in touch football throughout Papua New Guinea.
Women’s competitions provide female athletes with a platform to develop their skills, compete at a high level and demonstrate their talent while representing their clubs, associations and provinces.
These competitions are also an important part of building pathways for women in the sport. Through regular participation and competitive experience, players can continue developing towards provincial, national and international representation.
Beyond playing opportunities, women’s touch football contributes to the development of leadership, teamwork, confidence, discipline and sportsmanship. It also encourages greater involvement of women across the sport, including as players, coaches, referees, officials and administrators.
