The national level represents one of the highest stages of the Touch Football PNG competition and player development pathway.National Championships and other national-level competitions bring together leading players and teams from across Papua New Guinea, providing an opportunity to compete at a high standard and demonstrate their abilities on the national stage.

These competitions are an important part of developing high-performance players and may contribute to the identification and selection of athletes for Papua New Guinea representative teams.Players progressing to this level are expected to demonstrate strong technical ability, fitness, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and commitment to the game.

National representation provides athletes with the opportunity to proudly represent Papua New Guinea and, where opportunities are available, compete against international opposition.

Through its national pathway, Touch Football PNG aims to identify, develop and prepare talented athletes to represent PNG at the highest levels of touch football.
